How To Compile iond and ion-qt v2.1.6 from Source

How to Compile iond from source
 
Install required Dependencies
sudo apt-get install git build-essential libtool autotools-dev autoconf pkg-config libssl-dev libcrypto++-dev libevent-dev libminiupnpc-dev libgmp-dev libboost-all-dev
 
 
Add Silknetwork Source for libdb4.8
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:silknetwork/silknetwork
sudo apt-get update
 
Install libdb4.8
sudo apt-get install libdb4.8-dev libdb4.8++-dev
 
Clone the ION repository:
git clone https://github.com/ionomy/ion 
 
Compile Daemon
cd ion/src
make -f makefile.unix
 
Depending your your system speed this could take some time. The ion daemon will be located in ion/src 
run: ./iond to run the daemon and start the ion wallet

How to Compile ion-qt from source
 
Install required Dependencies:
sudo apt-get install git build-essential libtool autotools-dev autoconf pkg-config libssl-dev libcrypto++-dev libevent-dev libminiupnpc-dev libgmp-dev libboost-all-dev
 
Clone the ION repository:
git clone https://github.com/ionomy/ion
 
Add Silknetwork Source for libdb4.8
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:silknetwork/silknetwork
sudo apt-get update
  
Install libdb4.8
sudo apt-get install libdb4.8-dev libdb4.8++-dev
 
install qt dependencies
sudo apt-get install libqt5gui5 libqt5core5a libqt5dbus5 qttools5-dev qttools5-dev-tools
libprotobuf-dev protobuf-compiler libcrypto++-dev libminiupnpc-dev
 
Compile QT
cd ion
make
qmake
 
Depending your your system speed this could take some time. The ion-qt will be present
in the ion folder when complete.
 
Wallet upgrade is complete. The blockchain will need to resync fully before you are able
to send or receive coins.
 
Individual configuration guides for masternodes and other staking/remote setups are available at ionomy.wiki or support.ionomy.com
